About this Walk
Join in on a community initiative that we love and fully support: Jane’s Walk. This global festival encourages Calgarians to get out and join a walking tour of local neighbourhoods. Inspired by writer and activist Jane Jacobs, Jane’s Walk encourages a wide range of people to design and lead walking tours of areas that they know well and want to share with their neighbours. Each May, people from all over the world and from all walks of life lead Jane’s Walks to boost local interest and foot traffic in nearby communities that may often get overlooked. Get your exercise this May while exploring a new area of the city - who knows what you might find!
