About this Walk
Join in on a community initiative that we love and fully support: Jane’s Walk. This global festival encourages Calgarians to get out and join a walking tour of local neighbourhoods. Inspired by writer and activist Jane Jacobs, Jane’s Walk encourages a wide range of people to design and lead walking tours of areas that they know well and want to share with their neighbours. Each May, people from all over the world and from all walks of life lead Jane’s Walks to boost local interest and foot traffic in nearby communities that may often get overlooked. Get your exercise this May while exploring a new area of the city - who knows what you might find!
Walk through downtown Calgary to discover the spots you always see on Instagram. Calgary’s swankiest youth and adult support team will walk you through some of the most famous places to take an Instagram picture, and introduce some hidden gems you didn’t know about.
