The 2019 Survey: A True Representation of the Entire City
Written by: Gary Davies
When we release the results of our 2019 Best of Calgary survey in just four short weeks on May 1st, you can feel confident knowing that you’re getting the opinions of Calgarians from all corners of the city.
There was representation from all 198 communities in Calgary for this year’s survey, as a result of the nearly 23,000 people who participated – a 70 per cent increase over last year.
As per previous years, the most active residents were those from inner-city communities, with Beltline, Mission, Bridgeland, Inglewood and Hillhurst leading the way. However this year, communities far from the downtown core filled out the Top 20 participating communities, including areas like Aspen Woods, Sundance, Tuscany, Cranston and Evergreen.
And while they voted in much smaller numbers, it was also encouraging to see opinions come in from residents in areas surrounding Calgary, including Strathmore, Okotoks, Bragg Creek, Airdrie, High River, Irricana, Nanton and even Lake Louise.
Please find below a list of the most active communities in this year’s survey, along with a breakdown by quadrant:
