Crackmacs not only snagged the Best Twitter Personality in Calgary for the year of 2018, but also the Best Blogger in the city. Whether you want to know what’s happening downtown, which bills are passing in City Hall, what’s up this weekend or get the 4-1-1 on cannabis legalization, the Crackmacs website is where it’s at. With blogs on every topic under the sun, they’ll keep you informed on the ‘whos’ and ‘whats’ making this city function day in and day out.

One of the largest social accounts in Calgary not associated with a brand or company, Crackmacs has quickly grown into a main city influencer when it comes to all things happening downtown. Are you a born and raised Calgarian?

We were not born and raised here, however, we have both been here for many, many, many years.

What was your dream job growing up? How has this influenced who you are today?

Neither of us had any clue that we would do anything with social media for our careers - it didn’t exist when we were kids - but, here we are.

What is your favourite thing about Calgary?

The widespread generosity during times of hardship.

If you could describe Calgary in one word, what would it be?

Resilience.

What does being a Calgarian mean to you?

Being able to survive in both -40 and +40.

Do you have a favourite watering hole in Calgary?

Local breweries! They're all so much fun to visit. Have you ever been to Cold Garden? They allow kids, dogs and you can even order pizza in!

What is your favourite Calgary event/activity or thing to do?

Circle festival. It’s a day of music on multiple stages, food trucks, booze and it’s family friendly. We love it!

Where is the best place to people watch in Calgary?

7th Avenue and 8th St SW.

If you were an emoji, what emoji would you be?

An owl. But a really cool owl.

Tell us about your business, what motivates you to do what you do every day?

It’s fun to share things. I dunno, people seem to be happy with that.

Anything special coming up we should know about?

We’re updating our blog to a new theme (yay) and will begin offering services for sale like: advertising, marketing, social media blasts, things like that. Exciting times!
