As one of the city’s oldest communities, there is a lot of historic significance behind the community of Inglewood, perhaps helping it win Best Neighbourhood in Calgary for another year. Located east of downtown Calgary right at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, Inglewood was established in the 1870s. Today, it is home to more than 3,600 Calgarians and it is known as a hub for arts, shopping and culture. With close proximity to several local attractions including Fort Calgary, the Calgary Zoo and the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, it’s easily apparent why the area is so popular. Living in Inglewood, you’ll never run out of things to do.

Although there are other neighbourhoods in Calgary that can lay claim to being quieter, more peaceful, more corporate-oriented or perhaps more private, the energy of Inglewood is unparalleled. With over 100 shops, boutiques, Canadian-renowned breweries, eateries and live music venues, there is always somewhere open to grab a bite to eat, play some music or wander around. As it is a highly visited Calgary neighbourhood, come to work, play, eat or drink. Whether you prioritize being close to nature, having access to major roadways or the ability to walk out your front door to major attractions, Inglewood truly has it all.
