For the last 15 years, Jason Markusoff has been writing up a storm for some of Alberta’s top news outlets and he’s still going strong. Starting his career up north, he wrote for the Edmonton Journal for five years as an Editorialist and a Civic Affairs Reporter. Then Jason decided to make the big move and travelled down to our beautiful city, working for the Calgary Herald for almost seven years. He finally switched to Macleans in 2015.
On any given day, you will see a variety of published work from Jason. From the nitty gritty political scene and civic affairs to gun ownership and the economy, you will find any and all of this on his ever-expanding resume. Jason received a Bachelor’s of Journalism from Carleton University back in 2003 and kick-started his career instantly by jumping in with the big players.
