Join Calgary Municipal Land Corporation and the Calgary Stampede for a behind the scenes tour of Stampede Park and learn about how the Rivers District Master Plan is transforming the area into a cultural and entertainment district par excellence.

Meet at Doherty Hall, a heritage replica of the Westbourne Church which honours the history and contributions of Calgary’s early communities. There you’ll learn about the Calgary Stampede Youth Campus, an exciting part of the entertainment district vision that is bringing the arts in Calgary together through the newly opened Calgary Arts Academy, the state of the art TransAlta Performing Arts Centre and the future Calgary Opera Centre.

In true Stampede fashion, treat yourself to the mini-donut bar before hopping aboard the Stampede Express Trolley for the district tour.

The guided trolley tour will lead you through the district, highlighting the exciting changes that are transforming it into an authentic, connected, resilient and vibrant entertainment district… with a few surprises along the way. Learn about Enmax Park, the new home of the Elbow River Camp, see where 17th Avenue will reconnect into the area and visit the critical corner where the BMO Center Expansion and the festival street converge.

The tour wraps up back at the Stampede Youth Campus where you’ll have an opportunity to share your thoughts and help to envision a transformation of Stampede Trail into the Culture and Entertainment Districts’ beating heart.
