With playoffs fast approaching, it’s time to support your favourite hockey team. There’s nothing better than being right in the action, with the smell of beer and popcorn filling the Saddledome as you cheer on the Calgary Flames with hundreds of other screaming fans. Depending on what seats you like, going to hockey games rather than watching them at home can get expensive. However, there are tons of local events and businesses around the city who want to help you be part of the C of Red. Check out some of these game options below, ranging from affordable prices to deluxe viewing packages. Whether you’re going as a a family, a couple, a group of friends or an individual, there’s something here for everyone!
Watch the Game & Support a local charity
Watch Calgary battle the NHL’s newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights, on March 10 at the Saddledome, with $10 from every ticket purchased going to Closer to Home Community Services. This charitable organization delivers a variety of programs to vulnerable children and their families in the Calgary and Airdrie region such as early intervention services, in-home parenting support, family reunification and domestic violence aid. Enjoy the game and support your neighbours in need at the same time!

Don’t be fooled by the name - they really do sell hockey tickets! With three locations in Calgary, Golf Town has purchased a section of exclusive seats available for you from $36-$48/ticket. Tickets range from $50-60/ticket, so call ahead to make sure there are still tickets available for your desired game!
Pizza + Hockey = Great Deal
Sure Boston Pizza has great food and drink, but what about when you pair it with a hockey game ticket and a bus ride to and from the game for only $40?! Now that’s a good deal. Call participating Boston Pizza’s to inquire about their game day opportunities.
Calgary Flames Fundraiser: Pawsitive match
I’m sure we’ve all seen Curtis Lazar post about his adorable French bulldogs or browsed Johnny Gaudreu’s Instagram page created solely for his Golden Doodle, Bailey. Needless to say, we know that dogs are close to these players’ hearts. You have two upcoming opportunities to attend games where $5 of every ticket purchased will go back to Pawsitive Match, a local rescue foundation helping dogs find their forever homes. The first game is this following holiday Monday, so grab your tickets now!
