Mercato West began in 1974 with the Italian Centre and Meat Market, followed by Italian Gourmet Foods in 1983 which foreshadowed the evolution to Mercato Mission in 2005. Their unique theatre kitchen concept presents a wide array of Italian favourites the way the Italians eat - family-style, so you can share your meal with your party. Pizza, pasta, appetizers and wine, you're going to want to try it all here at Mercato. To this restaurant, good food is everything, and they are proud to share their traditions with their fellow Calgarians.

Mercato was closed for dine-in over Calgary's shutdown and, like so many other local restaurants, they suffered during this time. However, they were able to offer takeout and delivery options so that locals could enjoy a little taste of Italy while confined to their homes. Mercato is now open for business once again and can't wait to welcome you back into their warm restaurant. They will be closed from June 29th to July 1st  for Canada Day, reopening on July 2nd.

During this time, you can support Mercato by dining in at their restaurant, picking up food from their market or ordering takeout to enjoy wherever you choose. The restaurant also offers delivery with DoorDash. Whether you're indulging in a freshly made pizza or a variety of Italian delights, Mercato is the place to do it right.
