Open year-round from Thursday through Sunday, The Calgary Farmers’ Market brings together organic foods, handmade trinkets, homemade goodies and fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers all across Alberta. Long acclaimed for its focus on organic farming and organic foods, there are now plans to open a second location for the Calgary Farmer’s Market in spring 2020 in Greenwich. Until then, you can still peruse the 75-100 vendors at current market located on Blackfoot Trail selling a wide array of fruits, vegetables and delicious snacks.
Whether you are a passionate foodie, you crave the freshest of ingredients or you’re interested in purchasing local produce from your hardworking neighbours, the Calgary Farmers’ Market will have a variety of what’s in season every month of the year. In addition to organic food, you can find vendors selling artisanal items, trendy clothing, homemade baking and desserts, bath and body items, local dairy products, coffee and tea, flowers, honey and other preservatives, nuts, spices, pet products, specialty diet foods alongside wine, beer and spirits.
