This social media account and newly-designed website are a go-to guide for Calgary events, tasty restaurants, trendy areas and fun date ideas. Back in 2012, owner Mandy Balak realized there was a gap in the What-to-do-in-Calgary scene and she decided to do something about it. Next thing you know, as the result of a school project at U of C, Date Night YYC was born.
Mandy’s goal was to enrich relationships by providing exceptional experiences. She says, “Having fun, trying new things, connecting and quality time are all key ingredients in successful relationships.” This Instagram account consistently has intriguing events, cute date ideas, delicious restaurants and fun workshops to attend. They know how to throw a mean party, plan a scrumptious brunch and host trivia nights all over the city.
