The idea of Sunterra Market began over 40 years ago on a small hog farm located in Acme, Alberta. As the Price family farm grew to become bigger and better, the idea of a downtown grocery was born. Since 1990, Sunterra Market has been proudly serving Calgarians far and wide from its Bankers Hall location. Known for their high-quality meats, the downtown grocery store has grown ever so popular among Calgary foodies. Although Sunterra has nine locations across the province, it’s their Calgary store that perhaps harbours the most affection. Always seeking to deliver affordable, fresh, wholesome food, if there’s one thing Sunterra has consistently done throughout the years, it’s exactly that.

There are plenty of corporate chains to grocery shop at in Calgary, but the quality of goods will never live up to Sunterra’s standard. They remain a local, family-owned business that values customer loyalty, hard-working team members and serving the local communities in which they operate. Combining products from their farmers, butchers, chefs, bakers and baristas, you’ll find products that are completely unique to that specific grocery store location as well as Sunterra in general.
