You will definitely need a reservation if you want to snag an evening spot in Mission, but it’s worth the extra planning. Watch the talented chefs whip up your meal while you enjoy a glass of boutique wine in the vibrant atmosphere. Every dish is made fresh with ingredients from the Mercato market, so you know with every bite that it’s the real deal. Don’t leave without trying the Tagliatelle and of course, the infamous Bistecca which will have your mouth watering for weeks to come. Mercato is best served family style: the best thing about “sharesies?” You get to try more.
Can’t commit an entire evening? Stroll by during the day and grab an Illy coffee and panini that would make your Nonna proud. The lunch menu features daily-made soups, sandwiches, and salads. Extra bonus? Mercato has a killer olive bar and they hand-stuff their olives. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to grab a spot at an outdoor table while passersby envy your delicious Italian lunch.
